Rapper M.I Showers Praise On Yahoo Boys, Politicians Who Fund Music Industry

Ace Nigerian rapper, M.I has shown support to internet fraudsters and dubious politicians for constantly investing and contributing their quota into the Nigerian music industry.

He made this statement in a recent interview he had with Pulseng, but apparently a lot of people did not take note of that, as they only paid attention to the way Osagie unconstructively criticised and attacked the rapper and his album.

The rapper spoke about the diverse issues affecting the Nigerian music industry and also the direction of his music.

The hours-long interview got to the part where M.I talked about the aspect of financing in the Nigerian music business and surprisingly, the rapper had good words to say about internet fraudsters, who he claims have been filling the gap by financing artistes, in the absence of corporate sponsors and brands.

He said, “there’s no bank in the history of Nigeria that has given one Naira to any label. There’s no one corporate entity that has given any label. It’s young guys. In fact, you’re more likely to get money from a Yahoo boy. Shout-out to Yahoo boys. May God prosper your business. Shout out to all the money that comes from the funny places, shout out to all the funny politicians.”
